First Petroglyph

Most of the rock art in Range Creek Canyon is petroglyphs, figures carved into the rock with stone tools. But while a number of pictographs or paintings are easily seen from the path, most of the petroglyphs require a short hike or a climb to view them. Also, many of the petroglyphs are of unknown representation, being circles or anthropomorphs. The following is an exception - one easily seen from the trail and obviously of mountain sheep.
