Hokah Bluebells
This photo was taken near the town of Hokah, Minnesota, on the Root River flood plain near the Mississippi River. Each spring the area becomes covered with these beautiful blue flowers. I believe that the flowers are actually called Virginia Bluebells, of the species Mertensia Pulmonarioides but since I never took a closeup photo of the plant, I cannot be certain. My sister Carol, my ex-wife, and my brother Steve are the people in the photo. |
