The Coal Mine

This coal mine sits on level one near the west end of the layout, just off the freight yard. I apologize to those purists who will notice that the vehicle road runs right up to a section of the structure where three tracks can pass underneath the building. I already had one section (above and right) dropping coal into hopper cars and and ran out of room on the layout for the road to come into the mine. The rock wall behind the mine leads up to level 4 and the track in the lower left is on level 2, where the passenger trains come out of a tunnel.
