Site 27
Site 27 is about 2 miles from the Argyle Canyon road and is just opposite the road going into Harmon Canyon. This site, along with sites 26, 28, and 29 are so close together I wonder why the Spanglers decided to separate them. There are numerous petroglyph panels here over a short stretch of the cliff side as the road goes around the counterclockwise curve across from Harmon Canyon. I will try to organize my photos accordingly but may easily put some panels in the wrong site number. Look closely at the upper row of sheep and you can see that this is the description given in the Spangler book for site 27. Also, this panel is somewhat easier to see in certain lighting conditions than others. Below it are photos showing a second panel at this location. This panel is above the first one, at a higher cliff level. Note the arrow in the wide angle photo at left below. This panel shows elk or deer with large antlers.
