Smithsonian Air and Space Museum / The H1 Rocket Engine was an improved Jupiter missile engine that was used in the first stage of the Saturn 1B, which launched Apollo 7, the first Richard Erwin                                           human Apollo test vehicle in 1968. The Saturn 1B also launched Skylab missions 2, 3, and 4, in 1973 and the Apollo-Soyuz test project in 1975. 8/10/2009
