NGC 1513

This open cluster in Perseus contains more than 50 stars of magnitude 11 and fainter but studies of the object confirm that only about 30 of those actually belong together and most of the remainder are foreground or background stars. Although one star in the field has been determined to lie at a distance of 1125 light years from Earth, it is not at all certain that it belongs in the cluster so NGC 1513's actual distance is not known.
