M30

M30 is a globular cluster about 26,000 light  years distant in Capricornus.   It covers about 12 arc minutes of sky which corresponds to a physical size of about 90 light years.  The brightest red giant stars are of magnitude 12 and the cluster is approaching us at a speed in excess of 100 miles per second.
